What do Cubs do?
“Who yuh fuh?”
Individuality sets the foundation. Most youth begin their journey at the Cub Scout level. Young and fearless, these youth gather each week in groups called Cub Packs to participate in many interesting and challenging activities. When you’re a Cub, activities will be all about learning and growing in mighty ways. Learn more about what you’ll do when your mind is engaged.
Experiencing adventures
Becoming a Cub Scout opens you up to a world of many adventures. You’ll learn by doing and the skills you gain will be practical. Have you ever imagined cooking over an open flame or starting a fire from sticks and stones? When you become a Cub Scout you’ll create things from your imagination, experience life and have fun while doing it.
When you become a Cub you begin to feel confident. Being honest and doing what is right are your key mantras. And you learn to enjoy the skin that you’re in. The character skills that you build help you to feel comfortable in taking initiative and knowing when to take the lead on an activity without being asked.
Teamwork
Cubs work together to help others. In your Pack you’ll learn about issues in Cayman and around the globe and what we can do to help solve them. You’ll also make a positive impact in your community.

The Cub Scout Promise
I promise to do my best to love and serve God, my country and the King, to help people, and obey the Cub Scout law.
Who leads Cubs
A Cub Colony is led by an adult Cub who is traditionally given the nickname Akela, after the wise lead of the wolf pack in The Jungle Book. Other adults also help to supervise activities and share their knowledge and skills for everyone’s development.
Within the Cub Pack, Cubs are also part of a Six which is a smaller group of Cubs led by a Sixer and Seconder. Cub Scouts who are chosen to take on leadership roles are given the titles of Sixer and Seconder. Responsibilities that they will receive are tasks such as greeters to new persons to the Pack, assisting with camp activities or being assigned the lead for a game or activity.
