Who is a Venture Scout?

Venture Scouts are young people aged 16 – 21 who:

  • Share your skills
  • Lead by example
  • Plan ahead
  • Continue to give back

What do Venture Scouts do?

“the critical first steps into adulthood”

Venture Scouts continue the noble tradition of scouting by changing the world one small task at a time. They start on their doorstep, working within their community with a humble but confident attitude.

Become responsible citizens
The final section of Scouts are our Venturers whose journey usually began with us as a Beaver or Cub. Our Venturers or Drill Team often meet in Units with the key task of changing the world around them for the better.

In addition to standing up for what you believe in, Venturers also make a difference in their communities. You’ll often seem them guiding the younger members of their Scout family.

Accept the challenge
Venturers are not afraid to try new things and often they answer the tasks given to them with an energetic yes! Accepting challenges come easy.

The Scout Promise

On my honour, I promise to do my best To love and serve God, my country and the King To help people, and obey the Scout law.

Who leads Venture Scouts

Venturer Units are led by adult volunteers, they grouped into Patrols.

They often take part in the Young Leader’s Scheme and assist with the younger members of their Scout family.
